The only type of metal system used in low slope roofing is sheet metal panel because it is able to operate as an effective barrier to water. Sheet metal panel roof systems, generally, are designed to resist leakage at the joints and be sealed at the seams, an especially important feature in low slope roofs which often are susceptible to leakage.
